The Rusty Rewind Christmas Special
Hello there, long time no see! Sorry for my absence over the last few weeks, I have been VERY busy with work and in my personal life. Though I still do not have time at the moment to being you all a weekly Rusty Rewind, I thought it would be fun to do one for Christmas. So here’s the plan:
We will begin at 7PM GMT on Wednesday 21st December with an hour of show-related and Christmas music to warm ourselves up, have a chat and catch up with each other.
Then, at 8PM GMT, we can all sit around the fire and listen to TWO Russell Brand Christmas shows, from 23rd December 2006 and 22nd December 2007. While the first show is not particulary festive, the second comes live from Russell’s Christmas Home!
The stream will be live at the usual address, www.ustream.tv/channel/the-rusty-rewind .
Please spread the word, invite your friends and join us for 4 hours of nostalgia this Wednesday.

More Bad News…
I’m sorry to have to announce that owing to mounting work commitments, I’m going to have to put The Rusty Rewind on hold for a few weeks. I’ve looked for ways around it but I’m afraid, for the time being, this is unavoidable.

THE RUSTY REWIND IS BACK, BABY!
My apologies again for having to cancel last week’s show, but we’re back this Wednesday picking right up from where we left off!
From 7PM BST, catch an hour of show related music to get you all ready for the fun that’s to follow. Then, starting at 8PM BST, we will be rebroadcasting the classic 6 Music Show ‘Innocence’ from 10th September 2006. Usually we play 2 shows a week, but this one comes in at just over 2 hours! You lucky buggers! Learn all about winky-bridges, hear heartbreaking tales from Matt Lucas’ childhood and have a right ol’ laugh at ol’ Russ and Maffoo! (No Trevor this week, but we won’t talk about that…)

In this show, the lads discuss moments of narcissism. Trevor gets a foot massage at a Peruvian hair dressers, Russell adopts part of a dog as a hairstyle and Matt’s Cultural Review centres around his own event and a visit to The British Museum. “PAINT YOUR LEGS BLACK, TREV!”

The boys come live from The Edinburgh Festival. Russ reads a kiss and tell from the paper involving Elkie Haywood (“time has not been kind!”), Matt Culturally Reviews Cornwall and Trevor prepares for his impending Edinburgh Show.

As well as rebroadcast the show tonight and tomorrow night for you folks in different time zones, we’re also going to record the show and upload it somewhere so you can keep it forever.

Matt and Noel on Radio 2
As I’m sure you’re already aware, Matt Morgan and Noel Gallagher are returning to Radio 2 this Saturday from 3pm-6pm, filling in for Dermot O’Leary. (info here)
Although international fans can listen live via the BBC website, the ‘listen again’ feature is for UK dwellers only. This makes it hard for those in different time zones to join in.
To get around this, I’ll be rebroadcasting the entire 3 hour show at midnight (UK time) on both Saturday and Sunday evening on the Rusty Rewind Channel. If you’re interested in listening, check out this website to find out what time it will be in your region.
If you know someone who wants to listen but lives outside the UK, please let them know about this! Also if you want to know anything else, ask me on twitter or Facebook.
